Dr. Abdel Soufiane
Dr. Soufiane is Founder, Chairman, and CTO of Verrillon, Inc. Prior to founding Verrillon, Inc., Dr. Soufiane served as manager of advanced development and applications engineering at SpecTran Specialty Optics Company where he directed the development of advanced preforms and fiber products used in the telecommunications industry. Prior to that, Dr. Soufiane worked for FullSpectrum, Inc. as director of materials development and for the Centre d’Etudes des Materiaux Advances (CEMA) as a research scientist developing new generation fluoride fibers for mid-infrared applications. Dr. Soufiane received his Ph.D. from the University of Rennes, France and is the holder of many patents in the field of advanced materials and optical-related technologies as well as a recipient of the prestigious R&D 100 Award.
Bruce Berger
Mr. Berger is President and CEO of Verrillon, Inc. Prior to joining Verrillon, Mr. Berger served as an Executive Officer of Digi International and Sr. Vice President and General Manager for NetSilicon Incorporated, a subsidiary of Digi, engaged in silicon-based networking products. Prior to this, Mr. Berger served as Sr. Vice President/Managing Director of Digi International's European and Asian Operations, based in Dortmund, Germany. Prior to joining Digi International, Mr. Berger served as Vice President and General Manager of TeCom Incorporated. Mr. Berger holds a BS in Marketing and a BS in Operations Management degrees from Florida State University, as well as an MBA from the University of Tampa.
Michelle Fortier
Mrs. Fortier is a principal at Megunticook Management, Inc where she focuses on investments in telecommunications. Prior to Megunticook, Michelle was at Riverside Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm. Michelle holds an M.B.A from Stanford Business School and a B.A. and B.E. in Engineering and Asian Studies from Dartmouth
Bryson D. Hollimon
Mr. Hollimon is the Managing General Partner and Founder of Technology Venture Partners. Previously, Mr. Hollimon was Senior Managing Director, and Director of Investment Banking at Dain Rauscher Wessels (now RBC Dain Rauscher Wessels). He has been a Venture Capital Investor in numerous technology companies in the Communications industry.
Richard J. Ganong
Mr. Ganong is a Partner with Tudor Ventures Group, the lead investor in Verrillon’s $25 million B round of financing. Mr. Ganong has been with Tudor since 1993. Prior to joining Tudor, he was an Analyst with Essex Investment Management Company and worked in the Institutional Sales Department of Wood Gundy, Inc. Mr. Ganong holds an MBA degree from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College, as well as a BA degree from Bowdoin College.
Staffan Ericsson
Mr. Ericsson is a Venture Partner at Vesbridge Partners. Prior to Vesbridge, Mr. Ericsson was a Venture Partner at SPVC. He founded Vivo Software in 1992 and served as its first CEO and later as Chairman until the company was acquired by RealNetworks in 1998. Before founding Vivo, Mr. Ericsson spent seven years at PictureTel, where his roles included Director of Research and Director of International Sales. Mr. Ericsson holds a BS, MS and PhD from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden.
